Teaching young people to grow their organic vegetables
This week we offer a face-to-face with Isabelle Chaput, a specialized horticulturist at the Montréal Botanical Garden’s Youth Gardens. Year after year and with unfailing passion, Isabelle guides youngsters from 8 to 15 in the preparation and maintenance of their little piece of nature. Preparing seedlings, making compost, hunting down harmful insects, weeding a patch of ground, watching vegetables grow and finally tasting them – all the steps involved in learning about the richness of nature.
