Space for Life presents an inspiring initiative: young people from L’Odyssée high school in Valcourt and their science teacher, Nicolas Busque, decided they would protect the environment.
Now they’re calculating the greenhouse gas emissions they produce at school and finding solutions for reducing them or compensating for them. Besides planting oak trees year after year, they’ve introduced Zero Electricity days, exchange their belongings at an Eco-Christmas, and work in partnership with a home for the elderly on a composting project. The students carefully rethink all their activities. And they’re inspiring families, students and citizens alike. They’re actually bringing change. Their goal: to be the first carbon-neutral school in Québec.
