In the case of Robert Mineau, you could say that horticulture is part of his DNA! His interest in the art of growing plants first led him to take a DCS in ornamental horticulture at the Institut de technologie agroalimentaire (ITA) in Saint-Hyacinthe and then a bachelor’s in horticulture at McGill University, with a visit to HEC Montréal for a management certificate. He joined the Jardin botanique team in 1990, first as a gardener, until 1998, then as a horticulturist responsible for the Shrub Garden, until 2006, the year in which he became supervisor of the outdoor gardens, including the Arboretum, the Rose Garden, the Shade Garden and the Shrub Garden. As passionate as ever about plants, Robert Mineau participates through his work in the nature experience enjoyed by the thousands of visitors to the multiple and diversified gardens of the Jardin botanique de Montréal.

Robert Mineau is the supervisor of the outdoor gardens at the Jardin botanique de Montréal.
