Bedstraw can be spotted in moist sites, close to water, in the Laurentian Maple Forest ecosystem. Only one species is displayed here, but we grow two others in our greenhouses. We hope to plant them in the ecosystem in the next few years. These two species are better adapted to the forest environment and grow in areas that are not subject to flooding. The species of bedstraw that was planted in the ecosystem does not survive well in our conditions and we have to replant new specimens every year. Bedstraw is easy to cultivate in a greenhouse and to propagate from seed and from divisions from the parent plant.
