Albert Mondor receives the Henry Teuscher Award

The Montréal Botanical Garden is proud to announce that Albert Mondor is the 2014 Henry Teuscher Award winner. He received the award at the Great Gardening Weekend, for his exceptional contribution to the advancement of horticultural knowledge in Quebec.

A passionate, highly involved horticulturist

Mr. Mondor has a diploma in ornamental horticulture and a degree in plant biology. He enjoys writing and sharing his ideas about horticulture and has been a garden designer for over thirty years. A talented, exacting professional, he sits on various committees, where he offers his expert advice. He is a jury member for the Botanical Garden’s Great Gardening Weekend horticultural merit awards and for the “Exceptionnelles” awards handed out by the Jardin Daniel A. Séguin, in Saint-Hyacinthe. In addition, Mr. Mondor co-ordinates the Natural Reserve Selection program, aimed at introducing various plant species from across the globe and their ecosystems to local gardeners.
