Frédéric Back’s memory preserved at the Botanical Garden

At the tribute to Frédéric Back held on April 5 at the Maison symphonique, Montréal Mayor Denis Coderre announced that the Tree Pavilion, at the Montréal Botanical Garden, will henceforth be known as the Frédéric Back Tree Pavilion.

The ceremony was attended by the Back family, artists and public figures involved in the tribute, Manon Gauthier, Montréal Executive Committee member responsible for culture, heritage, design, Space for Life and the status of women, Louis Lalande, CBC Executive Vice-President, and several hundred people who had turned out to honour this talented and committed Great Montrealer, Frédéric Back.
