Elizabeth Boileau was a scientific animator at the Montréal Insectarium from 2012 until 2015. After she earned a bachelor’s degree in environmental studies, her passion for the natural world led her to pursue a master’s degree in environmental education in 2011. Before working at the Insectarium, she did a summer internship in nature interpretation at the Guelph University Arboretum in Ontario in 2008, during which she discovered the fascinating world of insects. Elizabeth then worked as a teacher for the St. Lawrence River Institute of Environmental Sciences. She especially loves her work as an animator with very young children, and is currently finishing an early-childhood education certificate at the Université de Montréal to be better equipped to guide children in their explorations of nature starting at a very early age.
