Jennifer De Almeida

Jennifer De Almeida has had a passion about insects for close to twenty years. During both her bachelor’s and her masters degrees in biology she worked in research laboratories on rearing insects. As an entomologist in a research center for ten years she worked on reducing pesticides in agriculture. Over all those years she advanced her knowledge in breeding and in the interactions between plants and insects. In 2019 she brought her great enthusiasm to the team at the Insectarium de Montréal, where she’s continued to indulge her passion by making fresh discoveries of insects hailing from all over the world!
