Jonathan Alix has always felt a great passion for the underwater world. He discovered the full extent of it during his training in aquaculture, which he did in the Gaspé, a sector of activity that, ranging as it does from the different techniques of farming fish, mollusks and crustaceans to genetics to environmental protection, proved to be a major source of inspiration for Jonathan. In 2000 he joined the Biodôme team as an aquarist, and his fields of interest have never stopped growing, his curious mind cultivating a passion at one and the same time for sturgeons and farmed caviar, the production of spirulina, and projects aimed at preserving the quality of the water in certain lakes and rivers. The marine world has become his playground, which he explores endlessly either through scuba diving, snorkeling, kitesurfing, canoe-camping or even when fishing.
