Nathalie Martimbeau earned a master’s in astronomy from the Université de Montréal in 1992 and another in museum studies from San Francisco State University (1994). She worked for more than 25 years implementing educational programs and presenting school shows, notably at the Charles F. Hagar Planetarium in San Francisco, the California Academy of Sciences and the Morrison Planetarium (1992-1996). During that time, still in the U.S., Nathalie had the opportunity to do internships at the Lawrence Hall of Science (Berkeley) and at the Exploratorium (San Francisco), where she was introduced to participatory science learning for primary students and their teachers. From 1999 (including a break for a few years at the Harvard-Smithsonian Center for Astrophysics), Nathalie had participated in the design, production and presentation of shows, exhibits and animations for different audiences at the Planétarium.

Nathalie Martimbeau was a Science interpreter from 1999 to 2016
