At Espace pour la vie, we strive to make our facilities welcoming and accessible to visitors with disabilities or specific needs. With the support of organizations such as Kéroul and Giant Steps, we’ve implemented an accessibility policy aimed at adapting as many spaces and services as possible to serve all audiences.
Admission is free for the companion of a visitor with a disability
Plan your visit
The five Espace pour la vie institutions are committed to providing experiences that are as universally accessible as possible. If you have a functional limitation—or are accompanying someone who does—you’ll find detailed information for each museum to help you plan your visit. That way, you can make the most of our exhibitions, shows, and activities.
Sensory kit
In collaboration with the organization Giant Steps, Espace pour la vie has developed a sensory kit designed for visitors on the autism spectrum. These kits are available upon request.
Each sensory kit includes five soothing items selected to help enhance the visit for those who may benefit from them.
Several kits are available at each of our 5 museums—just ask at the reception desk or ticket counter.
Sensory-friendly Moments at the Planétarium
On the last Tuesday of the month (all day) and the last Sunday of the month (last show at 12:45 p.m. in English and 1:15 p.m. in French), the Planétarium is tailoring its visiting experience to the needs of people with autism or other people with sensory sensitivities.
