Red raspberry

This plant has upright stems 100 to 150 cm long and covered in weak thorns. The leaves on the new shoots have five leaflets, whereas those on flowering branches have three. The leaflets are rough, toothed and lance-shaped. The flowers are borne on the ends of the stems. Their white petals are shorter than the sepals. Its fruit, the raspberry, is a thimble-shaped mass of small, sweet red drupes.
