Tall meadow-rue, pubescent meadow-rue

It grows alongside tall grasses, such as reed grass and reed canary grass, shrubs including certain willows, sweet gale and speckled alder, or in woods alongside silver maple, white elm, balsam poplar and eastern white cedar.
Meadow rue is different from the other plants in the Ranunculaceae family that grow in Québec in that it has unisexual flowers. The fact that it is wind-pollinated also makes it an unusual member of this family.
