White snakeroot

This plant has been recognized in the United States as responsible for cases of poisoning among livestock and humans. Cattle, sheep and horses have died from a disease known as trembles, and humans have become ill from drinking milk from poisoned cows. The symptoms include severe intestinal paralysis, vomiting and even death.
