Groups
Age required to participate
Our day camps are intended for children aged 7 to 12 who attend primary school. Group divisions are determined based on the child’s age on September 30 of the current year. For the 2024 season, please refer to the following age ranges:
Group divisions: according to date of birth and school year
- 7-8 years old: Born between October 1, 2015, and September 30, 2017
(in grade 1 or 2 at the time of registration) - 9-10 years old: Born between October 1, 2013, and September 30, 2015
(in grade 3 or 4 at the time of registration) - 11-12 years old: Born between October 1, 2011, and September 30, 2013
(in grade 5 or 6 at the time of registration)

Online registration
To offer as many children as possible the chance to experience the Espace pour la vie day camps, changes have been made to the registration process.
As February 24, 2024 at 9 a.m., there will be a single registration period open to all (past and new participants). Registration is available online only, via the Amilia platform, and places are allocated on a first-come, first-served basis.

Payment method
Our online registration platform only accepts payment by credit card (Visa and MasterCard). At the time of registration, you have to pay either the entire registration fee, or a first payment equal to 50% of the full amount. In the latter case, the second instalment will be charged automatically to your account on Friday, June 7, 2024. For other means of payment, please notify us in advance.
Schedule
Day camp activities take place between Monday and Friday from 9 a.m to 4 p.m. Most day camps are two weeks in duration with the exception of Volatiles and Insectophiles at the Jardin botanique, which are one week in duration.
Before- and after-camp care
Before- and after-camp care is available from 8 to 9 a.m. and 4 to 5 p.m.
For the 2-week camps:
- $88 for both mornings and afternoons
- $66 for mornings or afternoons
For the 1-week camp:
- $44 for both mornings and afternoons
- $33 for mornings or afternoons
Note: The time slots of the daycare service could be extended by the Public Health Department, depending on the evolution of health measures.
Important
- We do not offer a meal service. Campers must bring their own lunch.
- If your child has special needs, please read the Guide for Integrating Children with Special Needs and contact us before registration.
- A child cannot be registered twice for the same camp on different dates (e.g.: Les Animologues from June 26 to July 7 and Animologues from July 10 to 21).

Cancellation and refund policy
If you plan on cancelling your registration, please notify us at least four (4) weeks before the start of the camp so that another child can take the spot. All cancellation and refund requests must be made in writing to: [email protected]
In accordance with Section 46 of the Consumer Protection Act:
From the date the cancellation request is received, refunds will be calculated as follows:
Cancellation BEFORE the start of the day camp:
No fee or penalty. We will issue a full refund within 10 days of receiving your cancellation request.
Cancellation AFTER the start of the day camp:
If the day camp has started, you must pay the cost for the days your child has attended camp plus a penalty equal to the lesser of:
$50 OR
10% of the cost for the remaining unused days.
