Frequently asked questions

When should I plant my tulip and hyacinth bulbs?

  • Jardin botanique
English

Hardy bulbs are planted in the fall, ideally when the ground temperature dips below 15°C. The ideal period is from late September to the first frost. This is when roots develop. This will allow the stems to develop easily in early spring. In the meantime, store your bulbs in a cool dry place (from 8 to 12°C) that is well-ventilated (in baskets, nets or paper bags). Plant only healthy bulbs, without any spots or damage.
