Origin and description

Perennial native to Québec. Its springtime flowering attracts a number of insects beneficial to a garden. The foliage turns red in the fall. This is an interesting species for rock gardens.

Height: 30 to 45 cm

Blooms: mauve, May to June
Attractions for wildlife: attracts butterflies, pollinators and hummingbirds
