Hoary vervain

Perennial native to Québec. The leaves and stem of this vervain are hairy. Its purple lavender flowers bloom successively from the bottom to the top of the spike. This plant performs best in poor soils; it is not competitive in rich soils.

This is a species likely to be designated threatened or vulnerable in Québec.

Blooms: purple lavender, July to September
