This milkweed, also known as tall milkweed, can reach 150 centimeters in height. Its leaves are slender and elongated, and its little hanging umbels display white flowers. It grows in clearings and at forest edges. The species is found from central to eastern Canada and the same region in the United States.
This is an uncommon species in Québec, known to exist in a mere four sites. It’s therefore on the list of plant species likely to be designated as threatened or vulnerable in Québec.
