Origin and description

Perennial grass native to Québec. Smaller and more delicate than the tufted hairgrass (Deschampsia cespitosa), this species also prefers drier soils. Its bronze-tinted vaporous blooms open in the summer. The green straight foliage forms a tuft.

Height: 20 cm (foliage); up to 60 cm (with inflorescences)
