Origin and description

Perennial native to Québec. This species produces small very sweet strawberries. It makes a lovely ground cover in slightly acidic sandy soils.

Height: 5 to 15 cm
Width: 20 cm
Blooms: white, in May-June
Fruiting: red, in June, edible
Attractions for wildlife: attracts birds, pollinators and butterflies
