The Canadian Museums Association presented its 2014 Award of Outstanding Achievement to Space for Life yesterday evening, in Toronto, for its opening of the Planétarium Rio tinto Alcan. The new star in the Space for Life sky was honoured in the Facility Development and Design category. This valuable recognition by peers acrossCanada comes on top of a series of distinctions earned inQuebec since the Planetarium opened on April 6, 2013.
The new Planétarium Rio tinto Alcan on the Space for Life site has made it a destination with something for everyone. This is an important achievement for the organization, with its mission of reconnecting humans with nature. With its totally original approach, the Planetarium carries visitors off on a dizzying voyage through the cosmos, brilliantly combining science, art and emotion.
Over the past year, the Planétarium Rio tinto Alcan has put stars in the eyes of more than 350,000 visitors, to the delight of young and old!
