What a wonderful gift, just a few days before Christmas!
On the night of Wednesday, December 17 we finally spotted the baby sloth whose birth had been so eagerly awaited in the past few weeks.
Here are some exclusive pictures taken with a video camera with night vision, perched high in the Tropical Forest ecosystem.
The newborn seems to be in good health, since it is tightly holding on to its mother’s belly. She is already taking good care of her baby. We estimate that the little sloth weighs from 300 to 450 grams and is about 25 centimetres long.
