Spring is just around the corner at the Frédéric Back Tree Pavilion. During March Break, on February 28 and March 5 and 6, bring the gang for some sweet treats and discover the secrets of sugar maples, those trees that play such a central role in our traditions. From 10 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., presentations on a star product will be held indoors, while maple products and maple taffy will be available for sale outdoors from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Butterflies Go Free – A Caterpillar’s Life – Approximate length: 90 minutes
This year, the graceful butterflies are sharing the spotlight with caterpillars. Revisit your childhood and look under the leaves in the Main Exhibition Greenhouse for some astonishingly diverse caterpillars. A fabulous surprise awaits you as you discover their universe. Caterpillars may be multicoloured, plain or striped, covered in hairs or even spines – they have all kinds of tricks to defend themselves from the boldest predators. You can wrap up your visit in style by checking out the other greenhouses at the Botanical Garden along with the Insectarium – one price for both attractions.

Two double features to choose from – Approximate length: 1.5 to 2 hours
Fascination and wonder are guaranteed with Dark Universe and aurōrae. Travel to the ends of the universe and journey through the immensity of space as you explore the visible and the invisible.
