It’s so easy to recycle now, thanks to the programs that are now in force. Collections take place regularly and bins or special bags are the only things you need to participate.

If your school or business isn’t already participated in a recycling program, organize a collection in each class or departments. Designate a person to be in charge of taking the bin to the collection centre.

Each ton of standard paper replaced by recycled post-consumer paper saves about 17 mature trees and 46,000 litres of water.

It also keeps 490 kg of solid waste from being thrown away, keeps 3 kg of materials from being suspended in water and prevents 1 tonne of atmospheric emissions (particles and/or GHG).
