Research is one of the main fields of activity at the institutions and is a major factor in their national and international growth. In addition to gaining knowledge and developing the institutions’ collections, research at Space for Life helps raise awareness of environmental issues such as conservation of biodiversity, sustainable development, managing ecosystems in populated areas and bioengineering.

Space for Life: Living laboratories and educational centres
Researchers, scientific advisors assisted by associate researchers, assistants from other institutions, research professionals, post-doctoral interns and a number of undergraduate students participate in research at the institutions. Documented living and naturalized collections are on hand to enhance their research.
