The world of arthropods is a rich, complex and fascinating universe. People who are interested in them, both amateurs and professionals, become part of a circle of initiates who have felt the powerful attraction of these beings, with their multiple forms and surprising habits. These little-known creatures arouse curiosity and surprise, and sometimes even fear, but most of all, many questions.

Observing, capturing, collecting …

… and even breeding insects is a way to discover the biology and lifestyle of insects while enjoying exciting experiences on your own or with your family. These fun activities require skill, flair and knowledge!

If you find a living insect, it is important to let it continue its life cycle in nature so it can reproduce and maintain the population of its species. However, some species, including praying mantises, ants and coloured caterpillars, are especially attractive to children. These species are easy to breed but can also be captured for the fun of observing them … before you release them!
