Frequently asked questions

Is fall a good time to prune fruit trees?

  • Jardin botanique
English

No. It is not recommended to prune fruit trees after mid-July as pruning stimulates the growth of tender shoots that will not have time to lignify before the winter. Heavy pruning is done in the spring and is followed by light corrective pruning in the summer.

Our page on the pruning of fruit trees will give you more information on this topic.
