Monarch Oasis

Testimonial

One of the main reason I created a backyard butterfly oasis is to do my part in helping the survival of the Monarch Butterfly. It has been quite a journey watching the life cycle of the Monarch from egg to adult. I find it fascinating to witness a caterpillar turn into such a beautiful and gentle creature. Last year, I started planting milkweed especially common and butterflyweed. I added more this year, and had my first caterpillars feasting on it. What joy it is to watch my daughter become so intrigue with the process as well. I continue to increase the garden with more native plants of nectar-filled flowers and I do not use any pesticides. Monarchs need our help and I would like to do my part!
