Through its network of associate researchers/entomologists, the Montréal Insectarium contributes to a number of systematics and taxonomy projects.
This network, led by Insectarium curator Stéphane Le Tirant, has published some 50 publications since 1998, all in connection with the development of the Insectarium’s scientific collections.
The Insectarium’s network of associate researchers/entomologists primarily consists of researchers and entomologists in the field of systematics research, regardless of their status.
Associate researchers/entomologists must adhere to the Montréal Insectarium’s code of ethics concerning its collections. They are also encouraged to publish in collaboration with, or on behalf of, the Insectarium, and to submit type specimens of their new descriptions at the Insectarium.
