Located in the former United States pavilion from Expo 67, the Biosphère de Montréal presents exhibitions that bring science, art, and civic action into dialogue. To help preserve the calm of this museum dedicated to the environment, please follow these guidelines.
Please obtain and keep your proof of admission, whether an entry ticket, membership, or other form of access, throughout your visit.

- Exploring the building and admiring its architecture
- Organizing film shoots, recordings, or photo sessions
- Taking part in immersive experiences and interacting with the installations
- Taking personal photos, and enjoying the incredible view from the panoramic hall
- Visiting the exhibitions freely while following posted guidelines
Accredited service dogs are the only animals allowed inside the Biosphère.

- Sleeping in public areas or on urban furniture
- Creating noise or visual disturbances
- Using two-way radios (walkie-talkies)
Sales and solicitation
Unless special authorization has been granted by the Biosphère management, it is strictly forbidden to distribute, offer, display, or sell any services, articles, or merchandise of any kind inside the building or in its immediate vicinity.
Prohibited behaviours for safety reasons
- Climbing the Biosphère’s spherical structure, even partially
- Throwing objects or projectiles from the upper levels, including the lookout and the panoramic hall balcony
- Swimming in the water basin at the entrance to the Biosphère, or throwing rocks into it
- Riding a scooter or using any other recreational equipment inside the museum
Courtesy and consideration for others
Children under 13 must remain under the supervision of a responsible adult at all times while in the museum.
The following are not permitted:
- Eating or drinking in the museum, except in designated areas
- Being shirtless or barefoot in the museum
- Filming staff members
- Using a drone inside the Biosphère or to fly over its structure
Uncivil, unpleasant, or aggressive behaviour will not be tolerated. Anyone who fails to follow these rules will be removed from the museum without a refund of admission or parking fees.
