Do you have questions about your visit to Gardens of Light, one of the most popular events presented by Espace pour la vie? Consult these frequently asked questions (FAQ) to help plan your visit to Montréal's Jardin botanique.
Is it possible to purchase tickets for Gardens of Light onsite?
You can purchase your tickets onsite. However, we strongly recommend booking your tickets online to secure your preferred date and time.
Your Gardens of Light ticket grants access to the Jardin botanique for the entire day, including the greenhouses until 9 p.m. The Gardens of Light experience must be attended at the time indicated on your ticket.
Is it permissible to arrive earlier than the time indicated on the Gardens of Light ticket?
You may arrive earlier and take the opportunity to explore the outdoor gardens before your Gardens of Light experience. However, you cannot begin the illuminated route before the time shown on your ticket.
If you are visiting only for Gardens of Light, we recommend arriving approximately 30 minutes early to allow time for parking and ticket validation.
What happens if I’m already in one of the three cultural gardens at the end of the day?
The Japanese Garden, the Indigenous Peoples Garden and the Chinese Garden are cleared of visitors before the start of the Gardens of light event each day. It is not possible to remain on site.
Access to the illuminated route is controlled and reserved for Gardens of Light ticket holders.
How can I get the discount offered to Accès Montréal cardholders?
Since the Accès Montréal card is not yet integrated with our online ticketing system, it is currently not possible to purchase discounted tickets online.
To benefit from the discount, please visit one of Espace pour la vie’s ticket offices in advance to purchase your Gardens of Light tickets.
Can a complimentary ticket or voucher for the Jardin botanique be used for Gardens of Light?
Yes, provided that your ticket or voucher does not specifically exclude the Gardens of Light event.
Voucher holders must visit the ticket office to exchange their voucher for a valid admission ticket. Holders of complimentary tickets may present themselves directly at the entrance and join the waiting group.
