A lover of plants and nature, Josée Massé is a horticulturist and a wildlife management technician by training. After taking part in various forestry projects in the Gaspé Peninsula, on the North Shore and in Anticosti, she worked for the Québec Ministère de l’Agriculture, des Pêcheries et de l’Alimentation (Department of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food) and at some greenhouse growers in the Montérégie area. Josée was hired as a gardener by Ville de Montréal in 1994 and recruited by the Jardin botanique in 1998. Appointed horticulturist in 2002, she became head of productions and flowering plants in 2011. She’s been sharing her passion with her readers in the journals Quatre-Temps since 2001 and Les Naturalistes since 2017.
