Simon Joly

Simon Joly has a passion for botany, evolution and the environment. He holds a doctorate from the Université de Montréal in plant biology and has worked at Massey University in New Zealand and at McGill University in Montréal. He is currently a researcher at the Jardin botanique de Montréal, where he studies plant genetics and evolution. Beyond his research, he is enthusiastic about communicating his passions, as illustrated by his “Journal de botanique” (Botanical Diary) columns in the magazine Quatre-Temps and his role as scientific editor for the young-readership magazine Flore alors!.

Simon Joly is a plant evolution researcher at the Jardin botanique de Montréal.
