NB: Check the product label for a detailed list of the plants and target organisms for which the pesticide is intended.
How it works
Bacillus subtilis (strain QST 713) acts on diseases in a variety of ways: by competing with pathogens for nutrients, inhibiting attachment of pathogens to plants, possibly boosting plants’ natural defences, etc.
Application
For optimal efficiency, the pesticide should be applied as a preventive treatment or when symptoms first appear.
Shake the mixture well, before and during treatment. Thoroughly spray all parts of plants to be treated, until it runs off.
Several applications are recommended. Wait 7 to 14 days between treatments. The pesticide may be applied right up until the day of harvesting.
Wait at least 4 hours before watering the plants’ foliage after applying the product.
Precautions
The product may irritate the skin.
Avoid all contact with the eyes, skin or clothing. Avoid inhaling the dust when spraying it. It is best to wear long sleeves and pants, waterproof gloves and closed shoes when handling the product. It is also a good idea to wear goggles and a mask. Contaminated clothing must also be washed.
Do not use near any body of water or wetland, or dump any pesticide or rinse your equipment there, as this will contaminate the water. Never dump pesticides down sewers.
