My Butterfly Garden

A few years ago, my landlord gave me a bouquet of parsley. I set it aside in a vase of water for about a week. One week later, I went to pick the leaves and found two fourth instar Black Swallowtail caterpillars. I kept them until they became butterflies. This experience sparked in me a passion for caterpillars and butterflies which in turn led me to devote my balcony garden to plants that would attract butterflies. I always include parsley in hopes that I will again see swallowtails.
