Winnipeg Rockwall Haven

It was interesting to hear on tv about 8 years ago that monarchs were endangered and that there was actually something helpful gardeners could do. Since then we’ve grown more and more milkweed each year. We’ve seen the butterflies laying eggs, watched the tiny caterpillars grow every day, find chrysalises and see newborns stretch their wings. It’s a happy calming place to sit on the rocks in the garden and watch caterpillars chewing up leaves. Beautiful and you feel like you’re contributing to a bigger effort.
