Flowers for the environment and the mind

This is a project I began in 2017 in order to beautify the neighborhood.

Since then, we have Cottontail Rabbits, Raccoons, Squirrels, Cooper Hawks, and many other little creatures and critters visiting year round.This year I planted swamp Milkweed and wild thyme and nettles for the added biodiversity.

The garden has over 50 varieties of many of which are native to Quebec.

I also planted a Yellow Birch, a Silver Birch, a blue spruce and many other bushes and hiding places for the wildlife.

I have managed to replace over 60% of the grass lawns and use zero chemical treatments. We have lots of edibles growing amongst the plants.
